Such a wonderful week and so happy we were able to have it here. The cottage is so comfy and relaxing - we had to spend a whole day inside due to the rain and I was very happy to spend that time here.
I enjoyed exploring Burnham Market, in particular the Barefoot Retreat shop, and had a very yummy dinner at The Hoste and No29.
Despite the weather we were able to fit in some nice walks, in particular, Holkham to Wells with a nice cafe at the end!
I'll definitely be returning.

Just what we needed, a change of scenery. We have been in lockdown for so many weeks we certainly want to alter our routine next week if that is at all possible.
We have enjoyed a relaxing week with lovely weather. A quick walk to Burnham Norton. All the world at Holkham trekking to the seashore, the tide was well out.
A pleasant walk through Ringstead Downs to Hunstanton Park – lucky it was Thursday!

We had a really relaxing break here in Barley Cottage. We found everything we needed and lots of ‘extras’ as well. We both slept very soundly as it’s super quiet and peaceful, apart from the occasional owl hooting!

Thank you for a wonderful stay. It was a much enjoyed break. We really loved Well beach – Brancaster was rather busy! We’ve been on some amazing walsk and cycle rides. The cottage has been great and just what we needed. It has also been very enjoyable to sit outside in the evenings and play games, especially after all the hot weather during the day.

Great place to start a new decade. Lovely stay – our first visit to North Norfolk. Saw Barn Owls, deer, thousands of geese, hares, rabbits, pheasants . . .
Visits to Holkham Estate, Well, Thornham. Delicious meal at Socious (superb!)

"Thanks again Sue and Andrew for the use of your lovely holiday home Barley Cottage, a perfect home from home in North Norfolk. It has everything anyone could need for a comfortable stay and the location couldn’t be better, only a minute’s walk from the centre of buzzy Burnham Market with its great shops and restaurants, but in a quiet cul de sac with private parking, a real bonus! It’s easy to get from here to the coast with its wonderful beaches, and to local attractions including Holkham Hall. I have lost count of the number of wonderful holidays we have enjoyed here, both as a couple and with our family.  This one was no exception and we can’t wait for our next one!"

"We have once again returned to Barley Cottage because everything is convenient and the surroundings very pretty and pleasant. It’s so very easy to ‘chill out’ in this well presented, spacious cottage where nothing is left to chance, (such a well equipped kitchen!).

" We have really enjoyed our stays at Barley Cottage over the past few summers.
Being a short walk from the shops and restaurants of Burnham market is ideal and the cottage is very comfortable and the owners Sue and Andrew , very friendly and welcoming. There are lots of good walks in the local area and the sea is a short drive away, including the beaches at Holkham and Holme. The cottage also has good parking and a small garden for outside dining and barbecuing. All in all a really nice place to stay. "
