  Burnham Market Village

The village has a butcher (with bread and veg) fishmonger, delicatessen, newsagent, bookshops, chemist, Post Office, grocers, clothes and shoe shops.

The village prides itself on the individuality of its stores. Ladies looking for a hat for that special occasion cannot afford to miss visiting The Hat Shop - an experience in itself. There are no banks in the village but cash can be obtained at the Post Office and as cashback in several stores.

Eating in, or eating out, the village  and its surrounds can cater for a wide range of taste buds.
The Hoste and The Nelson in the village both provide meals and as well there is an array of daytime tea rooms and cafes .There is also a wealth of quality dining options on our doorstep a few minutes drive away (we can provide a list of restaurants as it is usually necessary to book in advance). The excellent Mermaid Fish Bar and Silk Road Chinese can cater for the take away options.  Locally caught fresh fish can also be purchased from Gurneys or the 'fish sheds' along the coastal road and in the summer season buy some samphire - a local delicacy - cook quickly and serve with butter! If meat and game is your taste visit Howells our butchers and you will not be disappointed.

Burnham Market has two tennis courts, bowling green and children's recreational play area just a minutes walk from the cottage.
